CAMPAIGN

Reimagining the Arkansas Arts Center: Campaign for Our Cultural Future
Let’s Build the Future Together. Join Us!
The fundraising campaign supports the building of a stunning new Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts by renowned architecture firm Studio Gang, a landscape plan by the award-winning design firm, SCAPE, transition and opening funds, and critical endowment funds. This project will position the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts as the region’s pre-eminent institution for visual and performing arts and a cultural jewel for Little Rock.
For this once-in-a-lifetime project, please consider giving the most aspirational Campaign gift possible, above and beyond membership or annual support. If you would like to participate in the Campaign, please know there is special recognition to honor your gift at every donation level, and contributions can be pledged over three to five years. Museum staff is here to meet with you to discuss participation. Please contact the Development office development@arkmfa.org.
To date, the Campaign has benefited from the support of 21st Century Founders ($1 million to $35 million), Leadership Donors ($100,000 to $999,999), Major Donors ($25,000 to $99,999), and many others who have made generous donations at every gift level. Campaign highlights include:
  • A commitment of $31,245,000 from the City of Little Rock, which is being generated through a hotel-tax revenue bond. Private fundraising for the project has now tripled the City’s commitment.
  • Windgate Foundation, which has donated a lead campaign gift of $35 million. The Museum School will be named Windgate Foundation Museum School in honor of this inspirational gift.
  • Harriet and Warren Stephens, who have made a transformational lead gift to the Campaign. The new AAC Galleries, which showcase the permanent collection and house the special exhibition galleries, will be named the Harriet and Warren Stephens Galleries in their honor.
  • Winthrop Rockefeller Charitable Trust, which has made a lead gift of $5 million. The new Lecture Hall will be named Governor Winthrop Rockefeller Lecture Hall in honor of this gift.
  • And, as of January 25th, 2021, $135,944,426 million of the previous $128 million goal has been contributed by many individuals, families, corporations and foundations that have given at every level to ensure the campaign’s success.
  • The campaign’s new fundraising goal is $142 million.
At the Groundbreaking Ceremony on October 1, 2019, Campaign Co-Chairs Harriet and Warren Stephens proudly announced that the Campaign had raised $122.7 million of its $128 million goal. We believe we can exceed that goal and we ask for your help.
